Veracruz Almonds has secured the highest level of the Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA) certification, making them the first almond producer in Europe to receive the GOLD seal.
Adding yet another sustainability certification to their collection, Veracruz Almonds went through a rigorous evaluation of their agricultural practices, which recognised their natural resource management, energy efficient measures and worker wellbeing policies.
The certification is developed by SAI Platform – a global initiative that supports sustainable production in the food and drink industry. The FSA process allows food-producing companies to evaluate, improve and validate sustainability in their farms and across the supply chain.
Veracruz’s award-winning approach to sustainable almond production has also been recognised by six other leading sustainability accreditation schemes, including Global GAP and LEAF Marque.

The latest accreditation comes as Veracruz Almonds take on the plant-based market, launching their delicious Mediterranean varieties to plant-based and vegan suppliers across Europe. As the vegan cheese market continues to grow at pace, Veracruz is giving manufacturers the opportunity to offer customers a new, flavorsome variety of vegan cheese, using their world-class almond varieties.
