Vegans across Australia are thrilled as the beloved KitKat Plant Based chocolate range makes a comeback. Nestle’s vegan-friendly chocolate, made with a milk alternative derived from rice, was originally introduced in July 2021.
KitKat Australia made an announcement on Tuesday stating that the highly sought-after dairy-free chocolate is now exclusively accessible at Coles stores across the nation, as well as on KitKat Australia’s online store. Melanie Chen, the Head of Marketing Confectionery at Nestle, expressed that the revival of KitKat Plant Based chocolate blocks and bars is a result of their immense popularity among Australians.
“You asked, and we delivered,” Chen said.
“KitKat Plant Based is one of our most requested products and we are so excited to be able to bring this vegan-certified treat back for everyone to enjoy for a limited time.
“We’ve experienced an outpouring of demand on our socials for the return of KitKat Plant Based.”
“We can’t wait to give people more opportunities and ways to enjoy their favourite break with a vegan milk alternative, delivering the classic KitKat snap they know and love.”
